Reservations are confirmed only after full or partial payment (as specified at the time of booking). Once payment is received, a confirmation emailwill be sent with your booking details.
We accept payments via credit/debit cards, bank transfer, or cash (in Sri Lankan Rupees or other accepted currencies).
All rates are quoted in USD and include or exclude applicable government taxes and service charges as stated. Any government tax or levyadjustments will be applied accordingly.
Guests are required to provide accurate personal details during booking. A valid identification document (passport or NIC) must be presented at check-in.
Check-in: From 11:00 AM
Check-out: By 2:00 PM
Early check-in or late check-out may be arranged subject to availability and an additional fee.
Cancellations made 21 days or more prior to the arrival date – No charge.
Cancellations made within 21 days of arrival – 50% of the total booking will be charged.
No-shows or cancellations made within 7 days of arrival – 100% of the total booking will be charged.
Date Changes: Changes to reservation dates are subject to availability and may result in a rate adjustment.
Refunds: Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method and may take up to 14 business days, depending on the payment provider.
Children of all ages are welcome. Extra beds or baby cots are available on request, subject to availability. Additional guests beyond the confirmed booking may incur extra charges.
Pets are not allowed .
Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward staff, other guests, and property. The Resort reserves the right to ask guests to vacate without refund for disruptive or inappropriate behavior.
Guests will be charged for any damage or loss caused to the property, furnishings, or equipment during their stay.
Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas. Smoking inside rooms or indoor public areas is strictly prohibited.
The Resort is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings left unattended in rooms or public spaces. In-room safes are available for valuables.
Guests must follow all safety instructions provided by resort staff. The Resort accepts no liability for injuries, accidents or losses caused by negligence or failure to follow safety guidance.
The Resort will not be held liable for failure to deliver services due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, or government regulations.
Use of facilities such as the pool, excursions, and outdoor areas is at guests’ own risk.
The Resort reserves the right to close or limit access to facilities for maintenance, safety, or operational reasons.
Third-party activities or tours booked through the Resort are operated by independent providers. The Resort is not responsible for their performance or liabilities.
Personal information collected during booking is used only for reservation management, billing, and communication related to your stay.
We respect your privacy and will not share your details with third parties unless required by law or for essential operational purposes.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
Any disputes arising from bookings or stays at Malala Retreat will fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
Malala Retreat reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The updated version will be published on our website and will take effect immediately for all future bookings.
